Reaching out in the GBA: prospective students learn about EdUHK and FLASS
Approximately 300 students following the HKDSE, IGCSE and A-Level curricula along with their parents from the school’s Dongguan Campus, attend a presentation where Miss He shares general information about the University and FLASS.
FLASS is committed to engaging with prospective students through school talks, on-campus information days, and interactive online events. These channels provide comprehensive information about our academic programmes, scholarships, and student support services, enabling senior secondary school students to make informed decisions about their future education. Recently, we participated in the University Fair held by Merchiston International School (MIS) Shenzhen at its Longhua Campus on 5 March. This event allowed us to reach out to aspiring students in the Greater Bay Area (GBA).
During the one-day fair, Miss Dolores He Peiying and Miss Shine Zhao Jiasheng from the faculty’s marketing team presented key facts and figures about the University and FLASS. The presentation covered FLASS’s four-year single-degree and new five-year double-degree undergraduate programmes, including programme structures, school-based block practices, internships, admissions requirements, and scholarships.
Attendees also learnt about EdUHK’s impressive QS Rankings, expected graduate salaries, and other essential information about FLASS, including its organisational structure, academic and teaching staff, and various programmes across the four departments. In addition to the presentation, our marketing staff managed a booth at the fair to answer enquires.
“A total of 31 universities and higher education institutions joined the one-day fair. Approximately 300 visitors attended the fair, including students from the international school’s Longhua Campus, Dongguan Campus and their parents. By participating in this activity, we showcased the faculty’s diverse offerings and connected with a large number of prospective students and their families. This allowed aspiring students to gain important insights into EdUHK and FLASS, enabling them to make better informed choices about their future studies,” Miss He said.
Miss He presents details about FLASS’ four-year and five-year programmes to a small group of around 30 A-Level students from Merchiston International School Shenzhen’s Longhua Campus on 5 March.
